In the Europa League Panathinaikos played against Maribor. Some hooligans from Austria (Rapid Wien) and Croatia (Dinamo Zagreb) were planning to visit this game. They wanted to support their Panathinaikos friends, but most of them were not allowed to pass the border because the police found weapons in their cars. Some did manage to get in Slovenia and there was a small brawl in the city centre between around 100 Maribor lads and a mixed group of 30 ‘Panathinaikos’ hooligans. Again the police was on top and made several arrests. There were also some other minor incidents (mainly Maribor hooligans attacking little groups of foreign fans).
